Do You Keep Track of The Good Things?

We all experience those moments that sometimes completely wipe out our creativity, enthusiasm and productivity to go any further. Regardless of the setbacks, we should remind ourselves to look at the brighter side and be grateful for the good things that are still present in our lives. No matter how difficult and challenging life might feel, there is always something to be grateful for.

Keeping track of the good things that happened today will help you get back the positive energy you need to thrive. What’s more, a few minutes a day spent on tracking the good things will boost your mood and make you feel much happier about how your day went. And, after all, it probably wasn’t all that bad.

There is always an opportunity to choose to feel better, no matter what has happened.

If you’re not already taking notes on the good things experienced throughout the day, here is how you can start:

  • Dedicate 5-10 minutes a day to write down anything, big or small, that brought you a moment of joy. You can use your old notebooks, personal diary, or even get a specially designated gratitude journal where you list what makes your day feel happy and memorable.
  • Focus on the moments with people rather than the material attributes. You can be happy with a new car or laptop, but try to put more emphasis on the time spent with people and other living beings.
  • Add pictures, lines, drawings or elements to make your notebook look much more colourful and bright. Just like that, it will become a symbol and a reminder of joy and gratitude.

Let’s pay more attention to the good things in life – and there are plenty!
